Before you start shopping, think about the personality of your gift recipient. What are some of the things they like to do in their free time? 2. Think about the past. 

To understand what your recipient might want now, look to the past and consider gifts they’ve previously received and loved. You can even take it farther back than that. 3. Consider: What does this person need?
